Coconut shell charcoal is a product resulting from the incomplete combustion of coconut shells. Coconut shell charcoal provides high heating heat and produces little smoke. To obtain coconut shell charcoal, various methods can be used, including using a drum system, holes, and destructive distillation. Good quality coconut shell charcoal is produced through the destructive distillation process (Thampan, 1981).
